Samsung GS4 Infinite Possibilities was a contest site which would promote the release of the phone in 2013. Users submitted their YouTube videos to an online talent show for a chance to win one of the $25,000 value prizes. The prize connected up and coming talent with mentors for a one of a kind experience.
Secret Location designed and built the campaign website. This included social media advertising and a back end interface for the client to moderate contest submissions. It was essential the site be fully mobile responsive and available in both English and French to meet legal requirements.
I managed a pair of freelance developers. Together we worked on solutions for parallax animations and mobile devices. Additionally, I was responsible for implementing multilingual support and working with YouTube to meet their requirements, build a custom YouTube page and API integration.
A lot. This was my first multilingual project as well as one of my first exposures to responsive design, parallax animation and the YouTube API. Working with freelance developers has its challenges, but it afforded me the possibility to see solutions from many angles.
