Impact Kitchen is a restaurant in downtown Toronto. They hope to make clean, healthy foods more accessible. Their website features their full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu as well as some treats for when you’re on the go.
Jacknife Design was asked to develop the company branding and build their web presence. The design is energetic and balanced, reflecting the lifestyle goals of the restaurant. The site had to be fully responsive and AODA compliant. The website launched in 2016.
When I joined the company the project was in progress, but sat in a holding pattern. I had to assess the progress and realign the project. I built a custom WordPress theme, launched the website and wrote the CMS documentation.
A solution to a problem can be over engineered. I designed the site to be flexible, allowing any of the tile layouts to be used on any page. For this client the process should have been more streamlined.
